Cristo Rodríguez

Cristo Rodríguez belongs to the fourth generation of the family behind Panadería-Pastelería Pulido, a historic bakery located in La Lechuza, in Vega de San Mateo, Gran Canaria. Founded in 1923 as a small village oven, the bakery has grown over the years while preserving its artisanal roots and strong connection to the local community.

Together with his sister Yaiza, Cristo now leads a new chapter of the family business, blending inherited knowledge with a contemporary vision of the craft. His work focuses on bread development and the evolution of doughs and fermentation processes, maintaining traditional techniques while exploring new ways of baking.

In the bakery, traditional recipes from Canarian baking coexist with more modern creations, always with a strong emphasis on the quality of raw ingredients and respect for the natural timing of breadmaking. His work continues the story of a family business that, more than a century later, remains a benchmark on the island.
